Summer is approaching, and with it, festival season. La Cotorra brings you the definitive guide to the major players—featuring everything from rock and metal to electronic, pop, and indie. A quick tip: even if tickets are sold out, avoid buying from strangers or unverified sources. Stick to official resellers and verified platforms to ensure your spot in the crowd.

Mad Cool

Madrid, Spain | July 8–11 Ticket prices: €105–€435

One of Spain’s massive musical events returns to the capital at the height of summer. Last year’s stage saw Olivia Rodrigo, Muse, and Iggy Pop; this year is just as explosive. The opening day features Foo Fighters and Moby, followed by Florence + The Machine, Zara Larsson, and Lorde on Thursday. The weekend closes out with Halsey, Kings of Leon, Twenty One Pilots, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. Tickets are currently available on the official site.

Orange Warsaw Festival

Warsaw, Poland | May 29–30 Ticket prices: €50–€360

The largest music festival in the Polish capital draws 60,000 people annually. While the full lineup is still pending, Lewis Capaldi, FKA Twigs, and Olivia Dean are confirmed for the main stage. Historically, this racecourse stage has hosted icons like Beyoncé and Lana Del Rey. Tickets are available, ranging from budget single-day passes to all-access weekend VIP tickets.

Sweden Rock Festival

Sölvesborg, Sweden | June 3–6 Ticket prices: from €160

Founded in 1992, this is a pilgrimage for rock and metal fans. The 2026 lineup boasts Iron Maiden, Bring Me The Horizon, and The Offspring. While full three-day passes are already sold out, limited one-day and two-day tickets are still up for grabs if you act fast.

Sziget Festival

Obuda Island, Hungary | August 11–15 Ticket prices: €99–€559

Known as the "Island of Freedom," Sziget takes over a literal island in Budapest for five days of non-stop culture. This year's roster includes Bring Me The Horizon, Jorja Smith, and Twenty One Pilots. It remains one of Europe’s largest and most diverse cross-genre festivals.

Rock Am Ring

Nürburg, Germany | June 5–7 Ticket prices: Sold Out

The legendary German rock festival at the Nürburgring is already sold out. Fans will see Linkin Park (touring with their new vocalist), Limp Bizkit, Sabaton, and Papa Roach. Note: A few high-end "Glamping" packages for two are still available for €2,550 on the official site.

Tomorrowland

Boom, Belgium | July 17–19 & 24–26 (Two Weekends) Ticket prices: €300–€1,200

The world's premier electronic music festival is a sensory overload of pyrotechnics and world-class production. With Martin Garrix and The Chainsmokers headlining, all standard tickets are sold out. However, you can still find verified resale options on platforms like TicketSwap.

Primavera Sound

Barcelona, Spain | June 3–7 Ticket prices: €135–€350

Barcelona's crown jewel of festivals offers a perfectly curated mix of indie, pop, and alternative. The 2026 lineup is a dream: The XX, Doja Cat, Gorillaz, and The Cure. Tickets are officially sold out, but keep an eye on the official waitlists or check their sister festivals in Porto or São Paulo.

Roskilde Festival

Roskilde, Denmark | June 27–July 4 Ticket prices: 1,300–2,800 DKK

Northern Europe's largest festival lasts a full eight days and remains proudly non-profit. This year features Bad Gyal, Gorillaz, and The Cure. Be prepared for the famous "naked run"—a tradition at this quirky, historic event. Tickets are still available.

Hellfest 2026

Clisson, France | June 18–21 Ticket prices: Sold Out

Set in a picturesque French village, Hellfest transforms Clisson into a heavy metal kingdom. Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, and Sabaton lead the charge this year. Tickets sell out almost instantly, but check the official site’s links to their authorised resale partners.

Way Out West

Gothenburg, Sweden | August 13–15 Ticket prices: €100–€500

Held in the central Slottsskogen park, this festival blends music with film screenings and lectures. The Cure and Lorde are the big draws for 2026. Gothenburg is often cited as Europe’s most underrated city, making this the perfect urban festival getaway. Some ticket categories are still available.

Open’er Festival

Gdynia, Poland | July 1–4 Ticket prices: €130–€360

Located on a seaside airfield on the Baltic coast, Open’er is a massive four-day celebration. This summer brings Nick Cave, The XX, and Calvin Harris to Gdynia. It offers a great balance of major global stars and a scenic coastal atmosphere. Tickets are currently available.
