No restaurant in the city has been awarded three stars, but that doesn’t stop us from talking about those who have earned the coveted one or two. Valencia is home to eight Michelin-starred restaurants in total.
The Valencian selection of the iconic Red Guide includes 33 restaurants — among them Michelin-star holders, Bib Gourmand establishments, and many places that are not yet awarded but still “recommended” and well worth your attention. While no restaurant in the city has reached the three-star level, there are eight establishments that proudly hold one or two Michelin stars.

An 11-course menu conceived as a journey through Valencian gastronomy.
2. Territori — €165
A nine-course gastronomic exploration inspired by the flavours and culinary memories of the Albufera region.

An 11-course vegetarian tasting menu made exclusively with ingredients sourced directly from the finest plots of the huerta valenciana.
2. Selección / Bespoke Menu — €108
A more flexible option allowing guests to choose appetisers, two main courses, dessert and petit fours.

The holder of seven Michelin stars, world-renowned chef Quique Dacosta leads the kitchen of the legendary restaurant in Dénia that now bears his name and was once called El Poblet. In tribute to that legacy, Dacosta opened the Valencia-based El Poblet in 2012. Today, it is widely regarded as one of the city’s finest dining destinations.
The dining room is intimate and atmospheric, decorated in white, black and soft pink tones, with subdued lighting that encourages a sense of privacy and sensuality. Since 2018, the kitchen has been headed by Luis Valls, whose cuisine is inspired by the sea, the Valencian huerta (the agricultural lands surrounding the city), and the vast landscapes of the Albufera lagoon. His dishes offer bold reinterpretations of classic Valencian flavours.
Each course is a work of art: the plate becomes a canvas, the dish a vivid composition. White asparagus with a meringue shell filled with ice cream, red prawns from Dénia, milk-fed lamb with rice, or wild duck ragout — each dish delivers intense flavour, a balance of sweetness and acidity, and surprising textures. All courses are served with house-made and traditional breads. The restaurant also boasts an outstanding collection of single-malt whiskies and an excellent wine list.

A distillation of the chef’s gastronomic research from recent years. Wine pairing available at an additional cost.

The restaurant of renowned Valencian chef Ricard Camarena opened in 2012 in the Ruzafa district. Just five months later, it received its first Michelin star. Five years on, the restaurant relocated to the Bombas Gens Centre d’Art, soon earning its second star. It is the only restaurant in Valencia to also hold the Green Star, awarded for its commitment to sustainability — here, every part of every vegetable is put to use.
The menu is seasonal, based entirely on local produce and seafood. Ingredients receive exceptional care: much of the vegetables and herbs are grown in the restaurant’s own nearby gardens. Restaurateurs and farmers collaborate closely at every stage — from sowing to harvesting. Produce is picked in the morning and delivered before service begins. Innovative culinary techniques are employed discreetly, invisible to the eye but unmistakable on the palate.
The dining room reflects a minimalist, refined aesthetic. Each dish is a precisely balanced composition — a journey through the very best Valencia has to offer. An excellent wine list is complemented by a selection of house-made non-alcoholic drinks.
It is also worth noting that Ricard Camarena runs several other establishments in central Valencia, each expressing his deep affection for the Mediterranean lifestyle.

Fourteen courses, including prawns in beeswax, signature squid with dashi sauce, and smoked sea bass. The menu is seasonal and subject to change.

Awarded its first Michelin star in 2025, Lienzo (“Canvas”) is aptly named: it is housed in a former art gallery, located in the central section of the Turia Gardens. Under the guidance of chef and beekeeper María José Martínez, fine art and haute cuisine intertwine seamlessly here.
The interior is minimalist and light-toned, with artworks by renowned painters often adorning the walls. Some dishes are even served on plates shaped like an artist’s palette. Juanjo Soria, María José’s husband, is among Spain’s top sommeliers and oversees the wine list and guest experience.
The restaurant is particularly celebrated for its refined sauces and creams, and for its love of Valencian honey, which lends dishes sweetness, texture and character. Highlights include oysters with honey and a honey-based dessert. The tasting menus are carefully structured, progressing from simple to complex and engaging all the senses.
Sea bream with spinach, squid with crispy ink, potato mille-feuille, duck cannelloni, vegetables cooked in a clay pot with pil-pil sauce and horchata cream — each dish surprises with both flavour and presentation. Be sure to try their artisanal vermouth.

Three courses of your choice. Tasting menus include eight main courses, as well as snacks, appetisers and desserts. Each menu includes house-made spelt bread and water.

Led by German chef Bernd Knöller, RiFF is a favourite among lovers of fine dining — not least because guests can sit at the counter, watch Knöller prepare the dishes, and interact with him directly. Valencian at heart, he has elevated his love for the region into a refined expression of Mediterranean creativity.
The interior combines minimalism and elegance, service is impeccable, and jazz often plays from vinyl records. The menu features abundant fresh herbs, vegetables, freshly caught fish and seafood, which Knöller personally selects at the local fish auction each morning.
A transparent Bloody Mary sets the tone of the tasting experience, followed by peanut breadsticks, orange wine, oysters, ice cream with brioche and blue cheese, and a wild strawberry dessert. Grey sea salt from Guérande is used in the kitchen. Menus may change daily, as they are guided entirely by the freshness and quality of available ingredients.
Business lunch “Cebera” — €65
Includes two appetisers and four courses. Available Tuesday to Friday. Duration: approximately one hour. Seasonal tasting menus:
1. Alfàbega (“Basil”) — €90
Three appetisers, six courses and dessert. Approx. 1.5 hours.
2. Fraula — €120
A full gastronomic journey lasting around two hours, with four appetisers, nine courses and dessert.

Located just metres from the Mercado de Colón, Fraula takes its name from the Valencian word for “strawberry” — a motif that influences both the interior design and the restaurant’s overall atmosphere.
Desserts are overseen by Roseta Félix, formerly of El Celler de Can Roca, while savoury dishes are handled by Daniel Malavia, who previously worked with Quique Dacosta and Ricard Camarena. Creativity, texture and flavour, respect for seasonal local produce and seafood, and flawless execution define this understated restaurant with its calm, minimalist ambience.
Standout dishes include Thai prawns, free-range pigeon with cappelletti pasta and blackberries, asparagus, and the much-loved corn dessert. Menus change according to market availability.

Located near the Ruzafa market, Fierro is run by husband-and-wife team Germán Carrizo and Carito Lourenço. Together, they offer an emotional gastronomic journey through the Mediterranean, infused with subtle Argentine nostalgia.
The chefs aim to “create the flavour memory of the future”, blurring the boundaries between sweet and savoury and delivering a distinctive Argentine–Mediterranean fusion touched by salty sea air. During high season, securing a table can be a challenge.
With just four tables, elegant interiors and impeccably calibrated flavours, dining here feels like visiting friends who have carefully prepared for your arrival. Highlights include Argentine Cremona bread, Iberian pork shoulder eaten with handcrafted Argentine knives, morels, and forest strawberry desserts. Carito Lourenço is often present in the dining room, personally introducing each dish to guests.

Set in a white-walled 19th-century mansion in Ruzafa, La Salita celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025. The interiors evoke a relaxed bohemian elegance, complemented by beautiful gardens and a charming terrace, particularly enjoyable on summer evenings.
Chef Begoña Rodrigo, the first woman in Spain to win Top Chef, is known for her fondness for vinegars, pickles and citrus fruits, as well as her outstanding vegetarian creations. Her cuisine is light, fresh and perfectly suited to the setting. Every detail is carefully considered, from the rustic aesthetic to the comfortable rhythm of the courses.
Having worked with vegetables for many years, Rodrigo designs menus that evolve with the seasons. Signature dishes — such as parsnip carbonara with root vegetables and truffle — are served year-round. Imagination, harmony and precision define her culinary philosophy.
Tasting menu (Omakase) — €140
Each dish is selected according to seasonality and product availability. Lunch and dinner begin at 14:00 and 20:30 respectively.
There is no children’s tasting menu.
Guests are kindly asked to wear minimal perfume.

Intimate and immaculate, Kaido Sushi Bar seats just ten guests and invites them on an unhurried culinary journey guided by chef Yoshikazu Yanome and his team. Yanome works within the Edomae tradition, originally centred on sushi made from fish and seafood caught in Tokyo Bay.
In Spain, the chef applies this philosophy to Mediterranean produce, placing particular emphasis on red prawns and nigiri. The restaurant offers an excellent wine list and a wide selection of sake.
