On Sunday, July 19, the Spanish national team will play in the World Cup final—only the second in the team's history, coming 16 years after their legendary 2010 victory in South Africa. Spain's opponent will be decided in the upcoming Argentina vs. England semi-final. Towns and municipalities across the Valencia province are already setting up free giant screens and public fan zones so supporters can gather to watch the monumental match.
There are several great options right in the city. One of the main outdoor hubs will be the screen at the Jardines del Palau Nord, right next to the Palau de la Música. This is the perfect spot for fans who want to cheer on La Roja in the fresh air and soak up a festive, open-air community atmosphere.
The Roig Arena is also reopening its doors for the occasion—nearly 10,000 fans packed the venue for the semi-final against France. Doors will open at 18:00, and admission is completely free through Gate C until the arena reaches capacity.
For those looking to watch the game by the sea, La Casa de la Mar on Patacona Beach is showing the final on a giant screen alongside its signature food and drink menu. Additional outdoor seating will be available at Terraza Lumière, the open-air summer cinema in Alboraya, which is also offering free entry.
The town of Torrent will set up a giant screen at Plaza de la Unión Musical. The fan zone will open at 20:00—one hour before kickoff—with free admission until full. The event will feature pre-game music, a live DJ host, entertainers, face painting, and flag giveaways.
Sagunto is repeating its successful semi-final setup by installing three separate screens: at Plaza del Cronista Chabret in Sagunto proper, at the Port de Sagunt Cultural Centre, and inside the Voro Alandí building in Almardá. Meanwhile, L'Eliana will keep its screen at Plaza de Europa, where locals have been passionately following the national team throughout the entire tournament.
Private venues across the city are hosting special screenings too. Palau Alameda will set up a massive screen in its Gran Salón, complete with gourmet dining and custom cocktails. The Cirsa Valencia Casino is holding a broadcast in its main banquet hall, offering themed dinner menus for the match.
Most local bars and pubs will also be showing the game. La Cotorra has put together a detailed guide to sports bars in Valencia where you can watch football.
There are even options for moviegoers. Cinesa Bonaire will screen the final with tickets starting at €9, which includes a luxury recliner seat, popcorn, and a one-litre drink. Over at Cines MN4, fans can enjoy the game on the big screen for free by pre-booking a ticket online.
