Valencia's taxi associations are organising a protest on April 29. Participants will drive in a slow convoy through the city centre, ending with a rally outside the Ministry of Infrastructure.

Participants will gather at 10:30 AM on Calle Blanqueries near the Torres de Serranos. At 11:00 AM, the convoy will set off through Plaza Tetuan, along Calles Colón, Xàtiva, Guillem de Castro, Àngel Guimerà, Linares, and Avenida del Cid, finishing outside the Ministry of Infrastructure in the 9 d'Octubre administrative district. A march will also take place at the same location at 11:00 AM. Both protest actions are expected to conclude around 12:30 PM.

The participants' main demands are the adoption of new regulations for the passenger transport market and restrictions on ride-hailing services, which taxi drivers accuse of "illegally encroaching" on their market. Association representatives say that "more and more black cars are passing themselves off as taxis every day," while the authorities are failing to address the problem.

"If no solutions are forthcoming, we will hold protests every week, indefinitely," association leaders warned.
