Rooftop bars are a fantastic way to not only explore a classic cocktail list and try something new but also to watch the city drift off to sleep or stir awake. La Cotorra has prepared a guide to these high spots in Valencia.

1

Luna de Valencia Rooftop (MYR Puerta Serranos Hotel)

Address: C. de la Blanqueria, 4, Ciutat Vella, 46003 València

Located on the roof of the MYR Hotel, this bar features a terrace with direct views of the Serranos Towers. Guests can enjoy an extensive cocktail list from noon until midnight.

The menu offers all the classics, including various Spritzes, Espresso Martinis, and a cocktail titled "Naked & Famous"—a blend of Mezcal and Aperol. Prices reflect the prime location, averaging around €15 per drink.

2

El Torreón Rooftop (Westin Palace)

Address: C/ de Pascual i Genís, 22, Ciutat Vella, 46002 València

Another chic hotel rooftop, this one belonging to the Marriott chain. It features not only a bar but also a small pool to cool off in during the peak heat. Note that swimwear is not permitted in the bar area, as stated on the hotel’s official website.

The city centre is visible as if in the palm of your hand—an ideal spot for sunset. It operates from 5:00 pm to midnight (until 1:00 am on Fridays and Saturdays). Local bartenders frequently surprise guests with signature creations or new takes on classic recipes.

3

La Perfumería (MYR Hotel Palau Vallier)

Address: Pl. de Manises, 7, Ciutat Vella, 46003 València

This boutique hotel was ranked among the top ten design hotels in Spain. The panoramic terrace, spanning over a thousand square metres, offers 360-degree views of the city.

The high-end restaurant, La Perfumería, is a project from the creators of the famous "Café Madrid." The menu includes Roman classics, and after 10:00 pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays, they serve a chef’s tasting menu featuring modernised local dishes. The bar offers two signature cocktails and a broad wine list ranging from local producers to French, Italian, and New World classics.

4

270º Terrace at Barceló

Address: Av. de França, 11, Camins al Grau, 46023 València

This rooftop bar offers sweeping views of the City of Arts and Sciences (Ciutat de les Arts). The terrace is partially covered, featuring a glassed-in section and an outdoor balcony with bar tables.

While they stick primarily to classics rather than unique drinks, the atmosphere is the main draw. Prices are slightly above average: a glass of sparkling wine is roughly €6, while cocktails range from €10 to €16. A caveat: non-hotel guests face a minimum spend of €10, and some visitors have noted that the entrance staff can be selectively strict regarding capacity.

5

Atenea Sky Rooftop

Address: C/ de Moratín, 12, Ciutat Vella, 46002 València

A trendy, modern art space with a rooftop bar that hosts themed parties and local fashion shows. Unlike many rooftops, the menu here includes full dinner options, such as seafood, meat dishes, appetisers, and even sushi rolls.

The cocktail list is generous, featuring both classics and signature drinks. If your preferred drink isn't listed, the bartenders are usually happy to mix a custom "special." Expect to spend at least €30 per person for an evening here.

6

Blanq Carmen’s Rooftop

Address: C. de la Blanqueria, 11, Ciutat Vella, 46003 València

Located in the northern part of Ciutat Vella near the Turia Garden, the Blanq Carmen terrace offers romantic views of the Serranos Towers and the park. The vibe is intimate and focused on classics like Margaritas, Piña Coladas, and Mojitos. A full food menu with meat, seafood, and a variety of tapas is also available. Cocktails are priced between €10 and €12.

7

Sky Bar Novotel Valencia Lavant

Address: Av. de Pius XII, 4, Campanar, 46009 València

Despite mixed reviews, this remains one of the most popular rooftops for visitors. It is split into a covered terrace and an open-air bar. It offers a standard range of cocktails, wines, and food, with prices starting from €10 per person.

8

The Coin Rooftop Bar (Estimar Hotel)

Address: C. del Pintor Sorolla, 17, Ciutat Vella, 46002 València

Located in Valencia’s "financial district," this bar occupies a building formerly used for corporate offices, hence the name "The Coin." The rooftop includes a pool with sun loungers and a wide-ranging cocktail menu. A visitor favourite is a signature drink served in a glass shaped like a chicken egg. Note that some guests have reported occasional shortages of specific ingredients for certain menu items.
