If classic Catalan Estrella, Madrid's beloved Mahou, or the Canary Island staple Dorada have lost their appeal and you want to explore local craft breweries, this guide is for you.
1
The Market Craft Beer (@themarketcraftbeer)
The most popular spot among tourists, with a huge selection of craft beers from around the world.
Address: C/ de les Danses, 5, Ciutat Vella, 46001 València
Hours: Mon–Thu: 6:00 PM–12:30 AM, Fri: 6:00 PM–1:30 AM, Sat: 12:00 PM–1:00 AM, Sun: 12:00 PM–12:30 AM

The Market is one of Valencia's best-known craft beer venues — in no small part thanks to tourists. It appears in virtually every bar guide to the city as a must-visit and is consistently praised for its selection. The tap list leans toward local styles, including the celebrated rich stout una xocolata from Spanish brewery Saez&Son (€4.80 for a half-pint, €8 for a pint), but international surprises also make an appearance — such as the festively named Super Santa from Norway's Amundsen brewery (€4.60/half-pint, €7.50/pint). The menu rotates regularly, and bottled beer is also available to take home.
Don't expect a full meal here, but there are snacks to go with your beer: guacamole or hummus at €5.50, classic patatas bravas, and various nibbles.
2
Autenticraft (@autentic.vlc)
An authentic pub with a strong local craft selection and great interior design.
By ratings and reviews across platforms, Autenticraft ranks among Valencia's finest craft beer pubs. The Market may draw bigger crowds, but locals are quick to note that The Market's popularity is tourist-driven, while Autenticraft earns its reputation through "taste and quality."
The menu consistently features several local brewery offerings alongside Irish and Scottish classics. Particularly praised is the rich, creamy milk-and-vanilla stout from ORK brewery (€7.50/pint, €4.50/half-pint). The priciest pour is the aptly named Triple Hop IPA, also from ORK (€8/pint). Beers are available on tap, in bottles, and in cans. Bartenders are always happy to help you choose.

Beer & Travels (@beerstravels)
A spacious terrace, central location, and a wide range of bar snacks.
Address: Pl. de Manises, 3, Ciutat Vella, 46003 Valencia
Hours: Mon–Sun: 12:00 PM–1:00 AM
Photo: @beerstravels
Situated in the heart of the old city, Beer&Travels invites you to enjoy a wide variety of beers and tapas on its cosy terrace, or inside, in the lively atmosphere of a classic pub with leather seating, dark wood, and an energetic crowd.
There's plenty to enjoy: walk in, and you'll immediately spot floor-to-ceiling shelves lined with a vast collection of bottled beers sourced from nearly every corner of the globe. Expect classic American IPA at €4, Belgian chocolate stout at €6, and a constantly rotating tap list. For lighter drinkers: classic Irish stout (4.5%, €5/pint); for those who like it strong: Belgian Quadrupel (11%, €6).
Guests especially praise the snacks: a three-variety tapas tasting set and a charcuterie board with chorizo and jamón.
4
The HOPS (@hops.patraix)
A pub in the Patraix neighbourhood with live music and local craft beer.
The HOPS is arguably the least touristy spot on this list — and the reason is simple: location. The bar sits not in the centre but in the Patraix district, which visitors rarely wander into. It's far from both the beach and the main landmarks. But interesting beer? Absolutely.
The defining feature of The HOPS is live music. Several times a week, intimate concerts by local musicians mean you can enjoy a cold pint of Punk IPA (€5) to jazz, rock, blues, or pop.
The local tap selection is more limited than elsewhere on this list, but you'll always find something worth trying — Belgian chocolate stout, local lager, Belgian radler. Prices are comparable to the city centre: €4–€7 on average.
Olhöps is located in Ruzafa — undeniably one of Valencia's trendiest neighbourhoods. Among dozens of bars in the area, Olhöps stands out for two things.
First: its selection. Over 100 bottled beers and nine rotating taps mean there's something for everyone — from seasoned beer nerds to total newcomers.
Second: its culture. Olhöps isn't just a bar, brewery, or shop — it's an entire ecosystem, where everything matters, from the website UX to label design. Travellers with extra luggage space love stocking up on canned beers with striking artwork — so if you collect interesting beer cans, this is your place.
Prices vary widely: familiar bottles start at €2, while rare berry pints go up to €8. Snacks include olives and nibbles.
Olhöps actually has two locations side by side, so if the first is full — inside or on the terrace — head next door to C/ de Carles Cervera, 22-B.
6
Bukowski Craft Beer Bar (bukowskivalencia.com / @bukowski.valencia)
A pub with a wide selection of beers and tapas in the Eixample district.
Address: Carrer dels Tomasos, 17, bajo izquierda, Ensanche, 46006 Valencia
Hours: Sun–Wed: 6:00 PM–11:00 PM, Thu: 6:00 PM–12:00 AM, Fri: 6:00 PM–1:30 AM, Sat: 5:30 PM–1:30 AM
Photo: @bukowski.valencia
Bukowski also delivers serious variety: 15 constantly rotating taps and a large selection of bottled craft beer. Ever tried a nitro stout? You can hear. A smoothie sour? Easy — and it's precisely the sours that guests rave about most.
Pricing reflects the range: from Cosa Nostra American IPA at €7.50/pint to a melon sour or fruity Berlin-style sour at €4.50/half-pint.
The tapas are also highly rated — regulars call them the best in the city. And if you're lucky, you might even get an impromptu lecture on beer from the bar staff.
7
StoneCastle Brewery (@stonecastlebrewery)
A brewery and pub in one — come for a tour, stay for a tasting.
The main draw here is drinking freshly brewed beer — brewed right in front of you. There's no real separation between bar and brewery, only a "Staff Only" sign dividing the two. You'll drink your pint surrounded by the industrial aesthetic of a working brewery, where enormous metal tanks double as functional décor.
The tap list matches the in-house production: around 12 taps, 6 types of American ale and porter from the brewery itself, plus two or three taps from Saez&Son. Prices are very reasonable: from €3/half-pint to €7.50/pint. Guests also frequently praise the food: pulled meat with grilled potatoes, battered seafood, and sausages.
8
Buena Onda Gastro Bar (@buenaonda_beer)
Limited-edition rare craft beers and a full menu of tapas and main dishes.
Buena Onda is a gastrobar with a craft beer focus and an impressive food menu, right in the city centre. Both the drinks and the dining deliver: alongside bottled craft beers from local and international breweries (€4–€8), you'll find limited-edition releases like Nordic sour. If the mood strikes, the evening can continue with spritzes or infused spirits — lemon, melon, or mandarin.
For food, there's everything from homemade seafood pasta to quesadillas and chocolate fondant. Average spend per person for food and drinks: around €20.
Address: Carrer de Lluís de Santàngel, 3, L'Eixample, 46005 València
Hours: Mon–Thu: 6:00 PM–12:00 AM, Fri–Sat: 1:00 PM–1:30 AM
Photo: @ruzanuvol
Ruzanuvol has been open for over 15 years. It's the first and only bar in Valencia offering unpasteurized Italian craft beer from Birrificio Lambrate and Birrificio Italiano — Italian guests leave glowing reviews about it constantly. A 330ml costs €5.
The menu is almost entirely Italian, so if you want something local, the rest of this guide has you covered. But if you want to fully immerse yourself in the spirit of the Mediterranean coast without a 90-minute flight, this is your place. Thirteen taps at the very reasonable price of €4.80, plus a large fridge selection for all tastes and budgets.
On the food side: classic Italian fare — caprese salad at €8.90, vitello tonnato or beef carpaccio with grana cheese at €9.90. And yes, patatas bravas too — at €5.90.
10
Tyris on Tap (cervezatyris.com / @tyris_ontap)
A local brewery's own pub with 10 taps of hometown favourites.
Address: C/ de la Taula de Canvis, 6, Ciutat Vella, 46001 València
Hours: Mon–Sat: 12:00 PM–12:30 AM, Sun: closed
Photo: @tyris_ontap
Tyris is one of Valencia's most well-known and successful craft breweries, famous for Tyris Original and Tyris IPA — beers you may have encountered beyond Spain's borders. But the range goes much further: 10 taps of local styles plus a wide international bottle selection. You can also buy by the case: €19 for 12 bottles of Original or €23 for 12 of Bitter Love. The bar and terrace also serve homemade pizzas, sandwiches, and a charcuterie board with jamón and chorizo.
Brewery tours are available on Saturdays (11:30 AM–2:00 PM) at €15 per person, including a tasting. Book in advance via the official website — no queuing, no markup. If you fall for the beer, you can also pick up branded merch: T-shirts and tote bags.
11
Zero 11 (@zero11.vlc)
Beer sours and juicy burgers in Ruzafa.
Address: C/ de Pere III el Gran, 15, Bajo derecha, Ensanche, 46005 València
Hours: Sun–Tue: 6:30 PM–12:30 AM, Wed–Thu: 6:30 PM–1:00 AM, Fri–Sat: 6:30 PM–1:30 AM
Photo: @zero11.vlc
Zero 11 is another gem on Ruzafa's beer map. The bar's eclectic atmosphere fits the neighbourhood perfectly, and the menu delivers for even the most discerning drinker: seven rotating taps ranging from local IPAs to unusual Norwegian sours for those who love a tart kick. With your beef-and-cheese burger, try the DIPA-style craft that looks more like a glass of tropical fresh-pressed juice than a beer. Tap prices range from €2 for a half-pint of classic Czech lager to €7.50 for the Norwegian sour Delirium.
The bottle and can selection is also impressive, and staff are always ready to help you find your match — or just pick by label, since craft beer artwork rarely disappoints.
Zero 11 has a second location in Cabanyal at C/ de Vidal de Canelles, 27.
12
Black Bear (@blackbearvalenciaa)
Wide craft beer selection with classic tapas and branded merch.
Address: C. de Vinatea, 22, Ciutat Vella, 46001 València
Hours: Tue–Sat: 6:00 PM–1:00 AM, Sun–Mon: closed
Photo: @blackbearvalenciaa
Locals and tourists alike love Black Bear for its reliable classics. IPA, ale, APA, stouts — all available and, interestingly, at near-uniform pricing (€3.50 for 250ml, €6.50 for 500ml), whether you're pouring Belgian Rubia or a local IPA. You can also order a tasting flight of different beer styles in shot format.
Full meals aren't on offer, but snacks pair nicely with your beer — guacamole with nachos or a cheese board. Average spend per person: around €10.
There's also a large terrace with umbrellas and branded stickers featuring the bar's logo: a bear in a top hat, pint in hand.
Address: Carrer de la Llosa de Ranes, 1, Algirós, 46021 València
Hours: Tue–Wed: 6:00 PM–12:30 AM, Thu: 6:00 PM–1:00 AM, Fri–Sat: 6:00 PM–2:30 AM, Sun: 6:00 PM–12:00 AM, Mon: closed
Photo: @bendita_birra_
Guests mark this place as essential and consistently describe it as the friendliest bar in Valencia. Among the staff is the owner himself, who is always delighted to help you choose — and will readily walk you through every single beer in the house, including what to eat alongside each one to bring out its flavour or best.
On tap: Valencia, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, and even Ireland. Prices range from €3.50 to €12, depending on style and volume — and there are four pour sizes, not just two.
For food: tacos (with a vegetarian option) at up to €3.50 each — consistently praised by guests — a full burger menu (pork, beef, goat cheese, truffle), and a genuinely complete vegan menu. In short, there's something for every kind of group — to eat, to drink, and to take home.

Zeta Bar (zetabeer.com / @zetabeer)
A new bar with a sharp concept and 12 taps of exclusively local craft beers.
Address: Pl. del Col·legi del Patriarca, 5, derecha, Ciutat Vella, 46002 Valencia
Hours: Mon–Tue: 11:30 AM–11:00 PM, Wed–Sat: 11:30 AM–12:00 AM, Sun: 12:00 PM–12:00 AM
Photo: @zetabeer
Zeta opened in the heart of Valencia just a few months ago but has already been featured in local press, praised by critics, and flooded with glowing reviews — currently holding a 4.9 rating.
The concept is clear and deliberate: Zeta is a strategic alliance between distributor Bierwinkel and one of the area's best local breweries, Zeta Beer, from nearby Alboraya. There's no world beer menu here — every pour is local. Twelve taps covering IPA, pale ale, porter, lager, and stout also serve as the bar's main design statement.
All tapas and food are made exclusively from local ingredients — olives, cheese, vegetables, meat, seafood, and bread.
Loved the beer? Take a case home: €14–€50 for 12 bottles or cans. Prefer delivery? Order via the official website. Brewery tours are also bookable there for €19.
UPD. Zeta Bar closed during the preparation of this article, as reported by one of our readers. However, the beer lives on: the brewery continues to operate and sells its products online.
