From May 1 to 10, the area outside Bioparc Valencia will host performances of Horror Circus's new show, PrisionIA. Directed by Suso Silva, the production transports audiences into a world of total control and surveillance, where performers play the role of "anomalies" within a closed system. The show combines circus acts, theatre, and immersive set design.
Unlike traditional circuses, where individual acts stand independently of one another, PrisionIA is structured as a continuous performance with a single narrative, an original soundtrack, lighting effects, and audience interaction. Spectators become part of what unfolds on stage. The programme includes aerial acrobatics, strength acts, and the Globe of Death — one of the most spectacular elements in this type of production.
The show is suitable for all audiences, though it has a darker and more contemporary aesthetic than traditional circus. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased via the link.
May brings plenty of other exciting events to Valencia. On May 9, Talleres de Artes 42 will host a market of Russian-language books from independent publishers, with a lecture by Galina Yuzefovich on the world of Harry Potter as a reflection of British culture as one of the highlights.
