Saler shopping centre in Valencia is launching a new gastronomic series running from May 8 to June 28, 2026. The team behind The Champions Burger has prepared three events, each dedicated to a distinct culinary theme. Entry to all events is free. The venue is the Plaza del Cor Valencià space (Calle Rafael Ferreres).
First up, from May 8 to 17, is The Champions Cheesecake — a competition among cheesecake makers from across Spain. Doors open on May 8 at 7:00 PM. Participants will present recipes ranging from classic to original, featuring new textures, preparation techniques, and unexpected flavour combinations. Confirmed participants include La Cheesequería, Las Tartas de Julita, La Tarta de la Madre de Cris, Golossa Bakery, Seixis, Ciriaco Cheesecake, Nolito's Burger, Tarantín Chiflado, and Cheecks & Beer.
Visitors will be able to try all the entries and vote for their favourite. Festival hours: Monday to Thursday 6:00 PM–12:00 AM, Friday and weekends 12:00 PM–12:00 AM. More details via the link.
From May 20, the baton passes to The Kebab Market — the first large-scale festival in Spain dedicated entirely to kebab in a premium format. The organisers promise to reinvent a street food classic, with a focus on meat quality, house-made sauces, and unconventional combinations. The menu features reimagined versions of dürüm, döner, and iskender, as well as modern variations with nuts, aged cheeses, yoghurt, tahini, and spice blends. As with the other events, visitors will be able to vote for the best kebab of the festival. More details on the festival's social media.
The series concludes with Viva México! Fest, which kicks off on June 10 and runs for 19 days. The focus is on Mexican cuisine with a contemporary twist. Expect tacos, nachos, fajitas, tamales, enchiladas, and quesadillas, alongside sauces prepared using more refined techniques with complex marinades.
