Famous Spanish influencer and entrepreneur María Pombo (3.4 million followers on Instagram) is launching a new food project in Valencia. On 9 March, a new outpost of her tortilla brand La Martinuca will open in the city centre.
The new venue will be located on Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo — in the space previously occupied by the well-known Cervecería Cánovas, which closed in 2022.
The La Martinuca project is already operating in other Spanish cities and focuses on one of the country’s most popular dishes — the Spanish potato omelette, tortilla de patatas. The Valencia venue will follow the same model as elsewhere: no seating, just takeaway and delivery via the brand’s website and services such as Glovo.
There will be seven tortilla options in total, including the classic versions with onion or without, as well as varieties with caramelised onion, courgette, cheese or chistorra sausage. Beyond tortillas, the menu also features other Spanish favourites like patatas bravas, burrata with cherry tomatoes and stuffed eggs.

In its opening announcement, La Martinuca also said a bar will open alongside the tortilla spot. “A place you’ll always want to come back to — with a kitchen that’s open at all hours, because hunger doesn’t follow a timetable, and because good food is non-negotiable,” the post said.
