Zara Home has released a collection with Morris & Co
Zara Home has introduced a new collaboration with Morris & Co.
The collection is designed to preserve iconic prints from the archives of the British brand. The line includes textiles for the home: bed linen, bedspreads, decorative pillowcases, pillows,accessories for pets. Most of the products are made of satin, and the bedspreads are made of linen. Pillows are made of jacquard fabrics and matlass along with natural fibres, including cotton and linen.
The colour palette was designed specifically for this collection and is characterised by muted, "powdery" shades. There are soft mustard, sage green and light blue with greenish nuances. Neutral ecru is used as the base colour that unites the entire series.
A separate section is dedicated to accessories for pets. It includes couches and floor cushions. The new line reinterprets Morris & Co's original ornaments, including the Bachelor's Button (Cornflower, 1876), Pimpernel (Primrose, 1876) and Golden Lily (Golden Lily, 1899), combining them with a modern approach to colour and textures. The collection creates a calm and visually warm space in the house.
Morris & Co was founded in 1861 by designer and artist William Morris and became one of the key heirs of the Arts & Crafts movement and pre-Raphaelite artists. They opposed the industrialisation of art and manual labour and turned to medieval culture for inspiration. Morris & Co embodied their ideas beyond painting, integrating them into the everyday environment — interiors, textiles, wallpaper and stained glass windows.
