The Ministry of Education of the Valencian Community has approved the enrolment calendar for official language schools for the 2026–2027 academic year. This year, the entire process moves fully online, with applications processed through the Secretaría Digital platform.
Enrolment opens on 18 June at 12:00 PM and runs until 3 July. Applicants can choose their preferred learning format, select up to 50 time slots, and specify up to 3 languages. The results of the place allocation will be published on 10 July. Enrolled students must confirm their registration between 10 and 24 July. Failure to do so within the deadline results in automatic cancellation of the place.
For those who do not receive a place in the first round, an additional period runs from 4 to 10 September, with selection results published on 14 September. Enrolment for any remaining vacant places will remain open until 31 January 2027.
Official language school courses are regulated foreign language programmes aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (from A2 to C2), upon completion of which an official certificate is awarded. Courses run from September to June and comprise 120 hours. There are no entry requirements for the beginner level. For higher levels, applicants must demonstrate their previous level with a language school certificate, an equivalent qualification, or by sitting a placement test.
Language courses from A2 to C1 cost €90; the C2 level costs €105. A one-off enrolment fee of €25.50 applies when joining a school for the first time. Reductions and exemptions are available for large families, single-parent families, and people with disabilities. The minimum age for enrolment is 14 for languages not taught as part of compulsory secondary education (ESO), and 16 for the second compulsory ESO language and Valencian.
