Valencia's municipal pools are officially opening for the 2026 summer season. The first to open will be the Piscina Parque de Benicalap and Parque Oeste complexes. Opening date: 6 June. Both complexes will operate without a break through to 6 September.
Piscina Parque de Benicalap is one of the city's oldest complexes, opened in 1983. Spread across 29,000 square metres, it features two pools and a water park with two slides.
Parque Oeste covers 9,200 square metres and includes an Olympic-sized pool, a medium-sized pool with slides, a children's aquapark, an Aquasplash zone, and a multi-activity entertainment park.
On weekdays (Monday to Friday), the pools are open from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM; at weekends and on public holidays, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Every Friday in July and August, the Parque Oeste complex will also open in the evening, with concerts, shows, and water activities including surfing, kayaking, and inflatable attractions.
Tickets to both pools throughout 2026 cost €3.35 for adults and €1.70 for children. More information about Piscina Parque de Benicalap is available here, and about Parque Oeste here.
The next to open will be La Hípica pool, on 13 June 2026. The remaining municipal pools will open on 20 June — a few days earlier than last year.
