InfoJobs has compiled a ranking of the 25 highest-paid professions in Spain based on over 700,000 vacancies in 2025. Leading the ranking is the role of veterinarian, with an average offered salary of €61,907 per year (gross). In second place are medical specialists (€56,832), followed by physiotherapists in third position (€52,430). Experts attribute this to an acute shortage of medical personnel and the outflow of specialists abroad, where conditions are often more lucrative. In specific cases, the salaries of experienced doctors can exceed €80,000.
The top list also features IT specialists and executives. IT systems architects earn approximately €51,789, financial directors €50,368, software architects just over €50,000 per year, and operations directors €47,326.
Other specialists included in the high-income list are:
• General practitioners and general nurses — approximately €44,700;
• Pharmacists — approximately €43,600;
• Dentists — approximately €41,500;
• Automation engineers — approximately €41,500;
• Information security consultants and data analysts — approximately €41,000;
• Telecommunications engineers — approximately €40,000;
• Application programmers — approximately €39,800.
Beyond medicine and IT, high salaries are also offered in engineering and construction. For example, construction project managers earn an average of more than €42,000, while engineers specialising in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems earn around €40,000.
