The travel platform Holidu has published its ranking of Spain's best spa resorts for 2026. The study analysed 120 thermal complexes across the country, with the final list compiled from user reviews and ratings on Google and TripAdvisor. Results were scored on a scale from 0 to 10.
10 out of 10. The undisputed leader of the ranking. A classic thermal resort covering more than 200,000 m², set in the natural surroundings of the Valle de Ricote.

9.2 out of 10. A five-star seaside complex that combines 19th-century historic baths with modern spa treatments. In the 1920s, two Neo-Greek pavilions inspired by classical temples were built here: one housed a restaurant and casino, the other a sea-bathing hall with marble tubs and steam treatments. After decades of decline and its final closure in 1993, the complex was given a second life in the 2000s, when it was fully renovated and transformed into a luxury hotel.
8.4 out of 10. Holidu highlights the thermal cave, designed as a tribute to the prehistoric El Castillo caves and their cave paintings. Visitors also frequently praise the staff's friendliness and the overall atmosphere of calm.
7.6 out of 10. A spa resort in the Aragonese Pyrenees at an altitude of 1,600 metres, surrounded by historic thermal baths and mountain scenery. "Its main strength is a multi-layered approach to relaxation: a thermal complex for physical rest and open spaces for quieter activities such as walks, viewpoints and enjoying the cool mountain air," Holidu notes.
7.5 out of 10. An ideal option for a quick "reset" close to the capital. This spacious spa covers 3,200 m², and one of its biggest advantages is its easy accessibility. The ranking's authors describe it as a place you can visit without weeks of planning, yet one that allows you to forget daily routines and properly unwind.
7.4 out of 10. A thalassotherapy complex by the Mar Menor lagoon, with a strong focus on seawater treatments. The spa offers seaweed massages and saltwater pools.
7 out of 10. A Modernist hotel with mineral springs in the town of Caldes de Malavella. "Its waters are known for their digestive and therapeutic properties, and visitors can enjoy a wide range of treatments, from hydrotherapy to innovative relaxation techniques," Holidu notes.
6.9 out of 10. A legendary Galician spa resort with more than 140 years of history, known for its carbonated, bicarbonate-calcium and iron-rich waters, which emerge at temperatures of around +18°C.
6.8 out of 10. A spa complex with a golf course, ideal for those looking to combine active leisure with thermal treatments. Visitors often highlight the high quality of services and the welcoming atmosphere.
6.7 out of 10. A thermal complex surrounded by Mediterranean gardens, featuring thermal baths and therapeutic mud treatments. Reviews frequently emphasise its peaceful atmosphere.
