The Government of the Valencian Community has approved the holiday calendar for 2027. The region will have 12 paid non-working days, which will be supplemented by local holidays approved by each municipality individually.
The main highlight of the year is the overlap of Las Fallas and the beginning of Holy Week. On Friday, March 19, Valencia will simultaneously host the traditional Cremà (the burning of the figures) and the first religious events of Easter week. This is a rare situation where the city will transition in just a few hours from the boisterous festival of fire to the more quiet and solemn atmosphere of Easter processions.
List of holidays in the Valencian Community in 2027:
— January 1 (New Year's Day)
— January 6 (Three Kings Day)
— March 19 (Saint Joseph's Day)
— March 26 (Good Friday)
— March 29 (Easter Monday)
— May 1 (Labour Day)
— October 9 (Day of the Valencian Community)
— October 12 (National Day of Spain)
— November 1 (All Saints' Day)
— December 6 (Constitution Day)
— December 8 (Immaculate Conception Day)
— December 25 (Christmas Day)
Conveniently, many of these dates fall on Mondays and Fridays, allowing for long weekends. For example, in October, with the official holiday on Tuesday, October 12 (National Day), you can take an additional day off on October 11 to get four consecutive days off. In December, by taking December 7 off, you can enjoy a five-day break.
In 2027, Saint John's Day (June 24) has been excluded from the list of regional holidays.
