Rail operator Ouigo is releasing 5,000 tickets at €5 each across all of its routes. The promotion marks the company's fifth anniversary in Spain and goes live on 11 May. Tickets will be valid for travel from 11 May to 12 December 2026 and can be purchased on the company's official website while stocks last. To speed up the booking process, it is recommended to create an account on the site in advance.
In five years of operating in Spain, Ouigo has carried 23 million passengers. According to the company, prices for high-speed services on routes where it competes with Renfe and Iryo have fallen by 44%. Total investment over the period has exceeded €700 million.
The company currently operates 16 trains connecting 15 destinations. In that time, Ouigo's trains have covered 27 million kilometres — more than 675 trips around the world — and made over 42,000 journeys. The most popular route remains Madrid–Barcelona.
