French rail operator Ouigo has announced a new ticket sale with fares from €9. The offer covers travel between 3 August and 12 December 2026.

Sales for the cheapest tickets open on 5 March at 11:00 on the company’s official website. Children aged 4 to 13 can travel on a fixed €7 fare, and under-3s go free if they sit on an adult’s lap.

If you want early access, you can download the Ouigo app, where sales open on 4 March at 10:00.

Ouigo trains serve 15 routes in Spain. There are services from Madrid to Barcelona (stopping in Zaragoza and Tarragona), as well as from Madrid to Seville and Málaga (via Córdoba). Ouigo also runs trains from Barcelona to Seville.

From Madrid–Chamartín, Ouigo services run to Valencia (via Cuenca), to Murcia (stopping in Albacete and Elche), and to Alicante on the Valladolid–Madrid–Alicante route (with a stop in Segovia). The company also offers a direct service between Valladolid and Valencia.

La Cotorra has shared day-trip ideas near Valencia that don’t require an overnight stay. For instance, less than an hour away is Xàtiva, the historic “city of a thousand springs”. Most visitors go to Xàtiva to see its magnificent Valencian Gothic fortress. Read more routes in our article.
