On 1 July, the new Sant Josep water park will open in the municipality of Vall d'Uixó in the province of Castellón. It is around 45 minutes' drive from Valencia and around 30 minutes from Castellón. The complex will occupy the site of the former municipal pools.
The total area of the complex is 5,364 square metres, of which 2,328 are given over to the pool zone. The park includes three water slides, two pools, a large children's water park, spacious sunbathing areas, and green relaxation zones. Additionally, there is a café-kiosk with a 166-square-metre terrace, changing rooms, and toilets.
The project was carried out by the Nealis group on behalf of the municipal council. The total investment is €4.1 million. The park will be managed by the municipal company Emsevall, with between 14 and 15 members of staff planned. A system of discounted passes is provided for residents of the municipality.
In 2023, a survey was held in which more than 1,200 residents expressed support for a project that would be oriented towards family leisure. The result is a new water park for the municipality, which will operate from July until mid-September.
