The open-air cinema Cinema d'Estiu in the municipality of La Eliana (30 minutes' drive from Valencia) this year celebrates its half-century anniversary. From 25 June to 31 August 2026, evening open-air screenings will take place at Avinguda del Parc, 5 — starting at 10:30 PM. The programme features family cinema, Spanish and Valencian films, as well as special events in honour of the 50th anniversary.
The season kicks off on 25 June with a screening of the Spanish film "Maspalomas" (2025) — as part of LGBTIQ+ Pride week, in partnership with the organisation Marietes. Entry is free, but by ticket, which can be obtained on the website.
The closing will take place on 31 August. On that day there will be a special "Galactic Night" with a screening of short films of Valencian science fiction. Entry is also free, but by ticket.
The main celebratory event is the anniversary gala evening on 6 August. On that day there will be an opening ceremony at 9:00 PM, an open-air dinner at 9:30 PM, and a screening of the film "The Cow" (2026) at 10:30 PM in Valencian. Entry is free by ticket, purchased through the website elientrada.es — a resident's card (Tarjeta Ciudadana) is required.
Among the weekend films are "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie," "The Mandalorian and Grogu," "Toy Story 5," "PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie," and "Tad and the Magic Lamp."
On weekdays — Spanish films: the comedy "Torrente: Presidente," "Amarga Navidad" ("Bitter Christmas"), "Mallorca Confidencial," "Pioneras: solo querían jugar" ("Pioneers: They Just Wanted to Play"), "La luz" ("The Light"), and "El ser querido" ("The Loved One").
Please note: there will be no screenings from 4 to 17 July — the days of the town's festivities.
Tickets are sold online at elientrada.es until 9:30 PM on the day of the screening. A standard ticket is €3.50, a concession (pensioners, children aged 3–13, Carnet Jove holders) €2.50, and children under 2 free. Doors open at 9:30 PM, and each screening has an interval. The full programme is available via this link.
