From 25 June to 30 August 2026, Metrovalencia will temporarily suspend service at four stations — Aragón, Amistat, Ayora, and Marítim. The reason is the repair and upgrading of the underground tunnel infrastructure along the three-kilometre Alameda–Marítim stretch. The works will affect lines 5 and 7.
€10 million has been allocated for the repairs. The works form part of the FGV 2026–2030 plan, with a total budget of more than €830 million.
During the closure, the Alameda station will become the terminus for lines 5 and 7. Lines 3 and 9 will continue to operate through Alameda without changes. The Marítim station will remain open for tram lines 6 (towards Tossal del Rei) and 8 (towards Neptú).
Passengers are advised to switch to the nearest tram stops or use EMT buses. The Benimaclet station will become a hub for transferring to tram lines 4 and 6 for those heading to the beach. Passengers on lines 1 (Bétera) and 2 (Llíria) can transfer to tram line 4 towards Doctor Lluch at the Empalme station.
Up-to-date timetables and alternative routes are available on the Metrovalencia website or via the free phone line 900 46 10 46.
In addition, Valencia's buses are switching to their summer schedule. From 13 June to 6 September 2026, the EMT is reinforcing 12 bus lines, increasing the number of buses to the city's beaches. Among them are lines 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 31, 32, 92, 93, 95, 98, and 99.
