Mercadona's €5.25 Cream Blush Has Gone Viral — and Shelves Are Emptying Fast

Mercadona's own cosmetics brand Deliplus has launched a Cream Blush that went viral on social media within days of its release and has been flying off shelves ever since.

The new product comes in two shades. Shade 01 is a nude pink with a natural finish, ideal for everyday make-up and lifting techniques. Shade 02 is a deeper pink for a bolder look. Both are available for €5.25 at Mercadona.

The easiest way to apply the blush is with a brush. Both shades work well for the popular "Maria Antonieta Blush" trend — a blush technique inspired by the aesthetic of the eighteenth-century French court, where rosy cheeks symbolised youth and vitality.

The technique involves applying blush in circular motions to the apple of the cheek and blending outwards — with no hard edges, as though the flush appeared naturally. Unlike contouring techniques, the emphasis here is on softness and roundness rather than lifted cheekbones. Shades of pink, coral, peach, and fuchsia instantly freshen the face and visually restore volume to the cheeks.
