Valencia is getting ready for one of the city's main summer celebrations — Feria de Julio 2026. From July 1 to 26, around 300 events will take place across the city: concerts, family shows, comedy performances, children's activities, and fireworks. This year the festival will span 14 districts of the city.
The festival's visual identity this year was created by Valencian designer Javier Valiente, taking as his starting point the folk expression "estar a la luna de Valencia" ("to be under the Valencian moon"). The moon became the central element of the poster.
On July 1, the festival will open with the symphonic show OR, xata! at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, which will tell the story of the fair's 155-year history.
Throughout the month, events will take place in the Orriols, Sant Pau, Russafa, Cabanyal, Zaidía, Ayora, Quatre Carreres, Hort de Senabre, and Santa María Micaela districts and around the Mercado Central market, as well as at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Plaza del Pilar, Plaza del Tribunal de las Aguas, and in El Saler, Benimàmet, Pinedo, Carpesa, and Castellar.
One of the most anticipated events will be La Gran Nit — a night when the entire city turns into one big stage. This year, the Plaza del Pilar and the space by the Mercado Central will be added to the traditional venues (Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Plaza de la Virgen, Plaza de la Reina, Plaza Redonda, and Parc Central). The program features live music, magic, circus, jazz, musical tributes, and family shows.
For the first time, the Feria de Julio program will include the Centre Cultural La Beneficència, thanks to a collaboration with the Valencia provincial council. The city's musical societies will take a more prominent place in the program: on July 12, the Sociedad Musical de Poblados Marítimos will perform at Parc Central.
Pyrotechnic shows will take place every Saturday in July, as well as on the opening day — at various points around the city. The festival will close on July 26 with the traditional "Battle of Flowers" on the Paseo de la Alameda. It's one of the most spectacular summer events in Valencia. Participants ride down the street on floats decorated with flowers. Spectators and participants exchange floral "volleys" of carnations, turning the avenue into a flower battlefield. Some use tennis rackets or fans to fend off the flying flowers.
Children's and family activities run from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Evening shows for adults begin at 9:30–10:00 PM and last about an hour and a half. The exception will be La Gran Nit, whose program will run until roughly 2:00 or 2:30 AM. Special spaces are provided for people with disabilities.
The full program is on the website feriadejuliovlc.es.
