The Danish company LEGO has unveiled its largest set in the brand's history — a model of Barcelona's Sagrada Família basilica made of 12,060 pieces. Pre-orders opened on 4 June, and the set itself will go on sale on 1 November 2026. The price is €749.99.
The release marks two events at once: the centenary of the death of architect Antoni Gaudí and the upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV to Barcelona to bless the Tower of Jesus Christ. After the completion of this tower, the Sagrada Família became the tallest Catholic church in the world (172 metres).
Construction of the model begins with the apse, crypt, and Nativity façade (the only part of the basilica that Gaudí managed to complete in his lifetime). You then move on to the Passion façade, the naves, and the western sacristy. The final stage is the six towers, the eastern sacristy, and the Glory façade. The finished model measures around 62 cm in height, 47 cm in width, and 39 cm in depth.
"Designed to capture the scale and spirit of Gaudí's vision, the set offers builders an immersive way to explore the architecture of one of the most complex and celebrated buildings ever created," LEGO notes.
