In Barcelona, you can go to a fitness class together with your dog

Barcelona has an unusual workout format for pet owners. In the Poblenou neighbourhood, in the Sant Martí district, a fitness studio called Élevé Barre Studio has opened, where you can exercise together with your dog right in the studio. The studio is located at Carrer de l'Amistat, 22, next to the Rambla del Poblenou and just a few minutes' walk from the sea. It is a small-group space offering barre classes — a training system that combines elements of ballet, Pilates, and functional fitness. The studio also runs classes at around +35 degrees, aimed at improving flexibility, building endurance, and enhancing overall physical fitness. The studio offers the Élevé Pet Friendly option, which allows you to bring your pet to certain classes. Dogs stay beside their owners near the mat while they perform exercises at the barre or on the floor. This format is available for several classes on the schedule: Resistance Barre, Strength Barre, Pilates Flow, Pilates Toned, and Barre Basics.

Certain rules apply. The dog must weigh no more than 10 kilograms, be socialised, and have been walked before the class. Pet-friendly workouts take place in the morning during regular classes at room temperature. Owners are also advised to bring a towel and a toy for their pet to feel comfortable during the session. A single class costs €20. Membership options are also available, for example, unlimited access to classes for €99 per month.
