For the first time in Valencia, An Idiot’s Guide to Wine — a comedy wine-tasting show created by Australian comedian Merrick Watts — will take place. Watts has successfully run 35 seasons of the show in Australia, and Valencia will be one of the first stops on his debut international tour. Watts is also the only comedian in the world to hold a WSET Level 3 certification in wines and spirits.
During the 70-minute event, guests will taste six wines from different parts of the world while the host shares jokes, stories, and practical food-pairing tips. The format is designed for everyone — from wine enthusiasts to people whose only criterion is “as long as it tastes good.” The show takes place at Casino CIRSA Valencia, with doors opening 30 minutes before the performance.
Admission is restricted to guests aged 18 and over with a valid ID. Non-alcoholic drinks are available for an additional charge, and recording during the performance is prohibited.
The next performances are scheduled for September 19, 2026. The full schedule and tickets starting from €32 are available on Feverup.
