The consultancy firm Worldpanel by Numerator has published its annual ranking of the most popular brands in Spain. The top five remain unchanged: Coca-Cola, El Pozo, Campofrío, Central Lechera Asturiana, and Danone. The ranking is based on the Consumer Reach Points (CRPs) metric, calculated by multiplying the number of Spanish households (19 million) by the penetration rate and the number of annual purchases.
Coca-Cola holds first place with a score of 121 CRPs, a presence in 67% of Spanish households, and 9.3 purchases a year. Rounding out the top 10 are Gallo, Casa Tarradellas, Don Simón, Puleva, and Activia yoghurts, which rose from 11th to 10th place. Four brands entered the top 50 for the first time: Carbonell olive oil (45th place), Pepsi (46th, up 16 positions in a year), the meat brand La Carloteña (48th), and Philadelphia cheese (50th).
In the food sector, El Pozo holds the top spot, followed by Campofrío, Gallo, Casa Tarradellas, and Gallina Blanca. In drinks, Coca-Cola retains first place, followed by Don Simón, Mahou, Aquarius, and Fanta — the last two of which belong to The Coca-Cola Company.
In dairy products, Central Lechera Asturiana leads, followed by Danone, Puleva, Activia, and Alpro. In household cleaning products, Fairy takes first place, followed by Foxy, Asevi, and Ariel, which this year edged out Finish. In the hygiene and personal care category, Colgate is the consistent leader, followed by Nivea, Evax, Garnier, and L'Oréal.
Brand popularity, however, varies by region of Spain. El Pozo overtakes Coca-Cola and leads in seven autonomous communities — Galicia, the Canary Islands, Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha, the Valencian Community, Murcia, and Andalusia. Coca-Cola comes first in Madrid, Cantabria, Aragón, Catalonia, and the Balearic Islands.
Worldpanel by Numerator notes that supermarket own-brands continue to grow — their market share has reached 45%, and in 2025, spending on them rose by 2.5%, while sales of the top 100 manufacturer brands fell by 0.9%. Supermarkets that have bet on their own brands (Mercadona, Lidl, ALDI, and Dia) control 41.9% of the market.
The 50 most popular brands are present in 99.6% of Spanish households and in one in five shopping baskets. Moreover, the majority of them are of Spanish origin: 28 of the 50 brands, or 60%.
