Taxi-booking service Bolt has launched in Valencia and Alicante. For the first time in these cities, the platform will offer vehicles adapted for people with reduced mobility, including vans for wheelchair users.
Journeys can be booked through the mobile app. In Valencia, the service is launching with more than 50 vehicles, with over 30 available from day one. The fleet is expected to grow gradually as more drivers join the platform.
Bolt is also focusing on electric vehicles and partnerships with local small and medium-sized businesses, and self-employed taxi drivers. According to the company, this will help drivers diversify their income and support the local economy.
With its arrival in the Valencian Community, Bolt is strengthening its presence in Spain. The service already operates in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Zaragoza, the Costa del Sol, Toledo, Murcia, A Coruña, Guadalajara and Pamplona.
Without a doubt, the Valencian Community is a region with a fast-growing economy and an increasing need for flexible mobility solutions. With this launch, we want to offer the same affordable, technology-driven transport options available in other European cities, while working with local drivers and small businesses.
