Matchday 31 of La Liga, taking place from April 10 to 13, is dedicated to the 1990s—an era that remains one of the most successful and iconic for Spanish football. All clubs, as well as the officiating corps, have released special kits inspired by designs from the golden decade. The retro aesthetic has also extended to television graphics, the match ball, and various matchday activities organised by La Liga clubs.
Valencia CF will play their match against Elche wearing orange jerseys that replicate the away kit design from the 1990/91 and 1991/92 seasons. During that period, the club featured legends such as Fernando Giner, Ricardo Arias, Paco Camarasa, Voro, and Lyuboslav Penev. Additionally, the kit features the club's old crest. For the match announcement, Valencia used a video featuring a retro television, displaying date and time information in the style of Teletext.
The retro kits appeared in the club's official stores on April 8. However, by matchday against Elche on April 11, only a few items remained in stock. The retro collection was not made available via the club's online store.
