Falla Convento Jerusalén — Matemático Marzal has once again become the main winner of Las Fallas, taking first prize in the most prestigious Sección Especial category. The monument, named Redimonis, created by artist David Sánchez Llongo, received the highest recognition from both the jury and the public. With a budget of around 260,000 euros, it was the most expensive among the nine top-category fallas and stood out significantly for its scale.

For the committee from the La Roqueta district, this victory marked their 19th first prize in the Especial category and their fourth in a row. The falla depicts demons, fauns, and other mythological creatures.

In the contest results, second place went to L’Antiga de Campanar, third to Na Jordana, fourth to Plaza del Pilar, and fifth to Sueca-Literato Azorín.

The winners were also determined in the children's Sección Especial Infantil category. First prize went to Falla Espartero — Gran Vía Ramón y Cajal by artist Zvonimir Ostoic (Zeta). For the committee, this year was special. In addition to the main award, the falla's child ninot was selected as Ninot Indultat, meaning it was saved from the mass burning on March 19.

The remaining prize places in Sección Especial Infantil were distributed as follows:

• 2nd place — Convento Jerusalén — Matemático Marzal

• 3rd place — Mestre Gozalbo — Conde d’Altea

• 4th place — Duc de Gaeta — La Pobla de Farnals

• 5th place — Ciscar — Borriana

This year, Falla Convento Jerusalén not only attracts visitors with its victory but also with evening light and music shows, held in the square until March 18. During short performances, the monument is illuminated and music is played.

Falla Convento Jerusalén — Matemático Marzal is located in the very centre of Valencia, at Calle Convento Jerusalén, 26, just a few minutes' walk from Estación del Norte. Due to the large number of visitors and closed streets, it is most convenient to use public transport.

Nearest metro stations:

• Xàtiva — lines 3, 5, and 9 (3–4 minutes on foot);

• Plaza España — lines 1 and 2;

• Bailén — line 7.

Buses by EMT can also be used:

• line 63 — stop at Estación del Norte;

• lines 70, 71, and 72 — stop at San Vicente Màrtir, about two minutes on foot to the falla;

• lines 9, 10, and 27 — stop at Plaza España.

Falla Espartero — Gran Vía Ramón y Cajal, the winner in the children's section, is located at Carrer del Pare Jofré, 24, Extramurs, Valencia.

A detailed list of award distribution can be found on the official Las Fallas website.

Additionally, this year was not without controversy. The Cuba–Literato Azorín committee, which ultimately took 9th place in Sección Especial, stated that artist Carlos Carsí did not finish the falla literally on the eve of the jury's visit.

According to committee representatives, the installed structure did not match the project that the artist had presented earlier. In their statement, the committee expressed disappointment over the situation and emphasised that “the world of Las Fallas should consist of artists who fulfil their commitments to the committees that entrust them with their work.” The situation is particularly bitter because ten years ago, Carsí helped the same falla win first place in Sección Especial, which is why the committee entrusted him with the 2026 project with high expectations.
