The village of Manganeses de la Lampreana in the province of Zamora, with just over 400 residents, has announced an unusual tender. The council is looking for a manager for the municipal pool and bar for the summer seasons of 2026 and 2027, with the option of a one-year extension. And the best part is the rent — just €20 per year, or €48.40 for both seasons including VAT.
The pool and bar will operate from 15 June to 15 September. The manager will earn income from ticket sales and bar revenue. The only selection criterion is the fee offered — there are no requirements for experience or financial standing, so anyone can apply. The winner of the tender will, however, be required to pay a deposit of €1,000.
Applications are accepted until 18 May 2026. The notice has been published on Spain's public procurement platform. For further information, call 980 588 114 during working hours.
