Brighton College, named The Sunday Times’ “School of the Decade”, will open a campus in Madrid in September 2027. The new site will be located in the Moncloa–Aravaca district.
The school is known for the fact that its graduates regularly receive offers from Oxford and Cambridge. It will cater for children aged 3 to 18. Brighton College already has campuses in London, Dubai, Singapore and Bangkok, and Spain’s capital will now join the list.
The campus will be located on Calle Gobelas. The school will initially teach the first eight year groups, and it is expected to welcome 100 pupils when it opens, with capacity rising to 1,000 in the future.
Official fees for the Madrid branch have not yet been announced. However, in the UK, tuition for the 2025–2026 academic year ranges from €10,500 (for younger year groups without boarding) to more than €25,000 (for older pupils with boarding). Fees are paid termly.
Brighton College head George Hartley has said that during their studies, “every child will receive the support and encouragement needed to achieve their very best”. Alongside its academic programme, the school will offer sports, public speaking and debating lessons, as well as activities linked to science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (the so-called STEAM model).
An open day is scheduled for 23 April 2026. In addition to Madrid, Brighton College is also preparing new campuses in Lisbon and Rome.
