International Museum Day in Valencia: Free Entry, Night Tours and Workshops — Full Programme

Valencia is joining International Museum Day under the theme "Museums Unite a Divided World." Dozens of museums, monuments, and cultural spaces across the city are offering free entry, theatrical tours, concerts, workshops, and night-time programmes. The city's municipal museums are free on 16 and 23 May — no booking required.

Municipal museums with free entry on 16 and 23 May

On these dates, the following museums can be visited free of charge (links include addresses and opening hours): Museo de la Ciudad, Casa Museo Benlliure, Casa Museo Blasco Ibáñez, Casa Museo Concha Piquer, Museo del Palacio de Cervelló, Museo de Historia de Valencia, La Almoina, Cripta de la Cárcel de San Vicente, Galería del Tossal, El Paleontològic, Museo del Arroz, Refugio antiaéreo del Grupo Escolar del Ayuntamiento, Refugio antiaéreo de Serranos, La Lonja y Consulado del Mar, Almudín (currently home to the Holy Grail Museum), Torres de Quart, Torres de Serranos, Atarazanas, Sala de Exposiciones del Ayuntamiento. Please note: the Museo Histórico Municipal is closed on 16 and 17 May.

18 May — free access to Valencia's only medieval cemetery, with remains of a Roman circus. From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, regular tours of the burial site and its archaeological finds will run every 30 minutes. Location here.

Bombas Gens Centre d'Arts Digitals

16, 17 and 18 May — free self-guided experience El mapa secreto de Bombas Gens. Each visitor receives a special site map and access to content via QR codes, and can explore independently a 15th-century wine cellar, Civil War air-raid shelters, and a Mediterranean garden. A prize awaits those who complete the trail.
