From Supermarket Shelves to Design Glory: Mercadona’s Razor Wins Prestigious iF Design Award 2026

The Deliplus Flection razor from Mercadona has received the international iF Design Award 2026 in the "Product Design (Beauty/Health)" category. This accolade is one of the most prestigious design awards in the world, presented by the iF International Forum Design in Germany.

This year’s competition featured a jury of 129 international experts who evaluated more than 10,000 entries from 68 countries. The panel highlighted the Deliplus Flection—developed and manufactured by the South Korean company DORCO—for its engineering precision and superior functionality.

During the development of the razor, the manufacturer focused on delivering a consistent, high-quality shaving experience. To achieve this, several technical solutions were integrated into a single model. Ultra-thin blades operate with minimal resistance, while a flexible pivoting head adapts to facial contours to maintain steady contact with the skin. The razor also features an open-flow cartridge design, making it significantly easier to clean. The handle is fully compatible with Deliplus Flection replacement cartridges sold at Mercadona.

The product’s design was informed by extensive research into the grooming preferences of consumers across North America, Europe, and Asia.

The South Korean company DORCO has been in operation since 1955. It specializes in shaving supplies and exports to more than 100 countries. This award-winning model is part of the personal care range under Mercadona’s private label.
