Valencia Provincial Council Unveils €22.75M Plan for New Administrative Complex

The Provincial Council of Valencia has announced plans to construct a new administrative complex in the Patraix district, situated near Avenida Gaspar Aguilar on the border with Jesús. The €22.75 million project will span 10,000 square meters across three new buildings, centralising the majority of provincial and municipal support services.

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027 and is expected to take two years to complete.

Provincial Council President Vicent Mompó and Second Vice-President Reme Mazzolari presented the project details on July 21. According to Mompó, the project goes beyond brick and mortar, representing a structural transformation of how the Council operates. Unifying services under one roof aims to eliminate functional overlap, optimize resources, lower operational expenses, and streamline coordination across departments.

The main facility will accommodate between 210 and 220 workstations—primarily arranged in open-plan office spaces—alongside private offices, conference rooms, and two training classrooms. The two secondary buildings will house the occupational health unit, IT division, and customer support services.

Sustainable design elements include rooftop solar panel arrays, an underground parking facility for 160 vehicles and 60 bicycles, shared communal areas, and a covered terrace.

“We aren't simply constructing a building; we are preparing the Provincial Council for the next 30 or 40 years,” Mompó stated. “Our goal is to leave behind a more modern, efficient, and sustainable institution, better prepared to meet future challenges.”
