Adidas has unveiled a collection of official 2026 World Cup jerseys for pets — the FIFA World Cup 2026 Home Jerseys Pet Collection. The line features adaptations of the kits of four national teams: Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Japan. The collection went on sale on 1 May and is currently available only in North and Latin America, as well as in a number of Asian countries — Japan, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia. There are no official sales in Europe yet, and no release date for these regions has been announced.
According to the company, these are not scaled-down copies of the human jerseys but specially designed garments. The shirts feature a sewn-in elastic panel and a shortened hem for ease of movement, designed to fit animals of various breeds and sizes. Emblems and logos are heat-transferred, so the seams don't chafe a pet's skin. The jerseys are made from polyester and faithfully reproduce the colours and graphics of each national team's official kit. The price is around €30 — significantly lower than the human versions, which range from €90 to €140.
Adidas has also unveiled a smaller version of the tournament's official ball, designed especially for dogs. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from 11 June to 19 July 2026.
Veterinarians remind owners that clothing for animals is only necessary in specific situations — at low temperatures or for medical reasons. Clothing that is too tight or restricts movement can cause stress in animals.
