Spain's Royal Household has published the list of gifts received by members of the Spanish royal family in 2025. In total, last year the family of Felipe VI received 429 items. That's 71 gifts more than in 2024.

Among the most notable presents are a mobile phone that the king has never used in public, and a Manila shawl for the queen from Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, a coffee set from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a dagger from the Sultan of Oman and a replica of Tutankhamun's funerary mask from the president of Egypt, skis from the president of Slovakia, and a bottle of water from the ambassador of Iran.

Although the list does not give an estimate of the gifts' value, most of them appear to be souvenirs rather than valuable items, such as paintings of members of the royal family given by the artists themselves, books, T-shirts, plaques, trays, scarves, fans, ties, and bottles of wine. The president of Mali gave the king a xylophone, Colombian President Gustavo Petro gave two handmade items, and the prime minister of Pakistan gave two boxes of mangoes.

Most of the gifts were intended for King Felipe VI — 214. Queen Letizia received 98, and another 67 were intended for both of them. Leonor, Princess of Asturias, received 21 gifts, and another 17 were shared between her and her mother or sister.

Since January 1, 2015, rules have been in effect in Spain governing the receipt of gifts by members of the royal family. Under the rules, members of the royal family "will not accept gifts that go beyond generally accepted social norms, nor services or favours on advantageous terms that could jeopardise the performance of their duties." Gifts of an institutional nature are handed over to the National Heritage. Members of the royal family are also not entitled to accept items that could "compromise the dignity of their institutional functions."

La Cotorra has written about the role the monarchy plays in Spain, how Felipe VI's subjects feel about him now, and what they expect from the heir to the throne, Princess Leonor.
